Changing immigration status

There are numerous reasons why it may be advisable or necessary to change your immigration status (eg. the imminent expiry of a current visa status; changing status will enable you to obtain a work permit; marriage to an EEA / British national may qualify you to apply for indefinite leave to remain in the UK or to apply for British Citizenship etc). Even if you are entitled to change your immigration status you may not always be permitted to remain in the UK whilst doing so.

NHIS will be happy to help you:

- assess whether or not you meet the requirements of the immigration rules to change your immigration status

- assuming your are entitled to change your status, assess whether or not you may do so whilst remaining in the UK

- assess whether or not you have the necessary supporting evidence to obtain a change in status

- complete and submit your application, together with supporting evidence, in a manner which will satisfy the requirements of the immigration authorities
